Last summer my family and I took a trip to Denver Colorado. All of my dads side of the family went, so that would be my cousin Miles, his dad and my uncle Chachy and his wife Rebecca also my aunt. My grandma Judy and my aunt Sara came too. The first thing we did was going to the airport to fly to Denver and then leave to go to Estes Park. It was like a two and a half hour drive just to get to the cabin. But we did make it.” Thank gosh”. On the way to the cabin my aunt wanted some beef jerky so we had to drive slow to try to find some, and when we did my brother got all mad because he was tired and wanted to just get to the cabin. By the way the beef jerky was really good actually! So after we had gotten the jerky and got to the cabin.
“We all just needed to sit and relax”. But my sister and I didn’t want to so, we went in the hot tub and relaxed. But it started to rain! Later the day we went shopping and to look around.
The next day we went to fun city! It has this huge slide that you put a rug under you and just slide down. They also have bumper boats it’s just like bumper cars only on water! But my favorite thing that they had was the go cart racing! I beat my dad every time that was fun! My sister lost every time ha. After we were done at fun city we went to have lunch. We had cheese burgers and French fries at the cabin.
The next day it was national Pancake Day. Which no one wanted to come but my aunt Rebecca and Uncle Chachy and Miles. After breakfast we went to Star Bucks coffee house and then watched some of the car show. But it started rain again it pretty much rained every day! Then we went shopping with everyone. I got this really cute scarf that is blue and purple. We also went to Husker Haven and I got Some Nebraska shorts and a cool Nebraska hat! Then went to a jewelry store and I bought my birth stone earrings. Then it started to rain again! So we had to go home.
Today we went to a horse back riding company and got to ride horses. My horses name was Jonny Cash. My sister’s horses name was Lilly she bites!! It was an hour long ride but really fun. My bother did really good knowing that he is autistic. After that we went back to the cabin to relax.
Now it’s time to go home and I’m so glad we are. We have so much to pack up but it’s worth it. Its been a long ride but we are home.

 He was nervous because of the cold and because he didn’t have a survival pack like in the summer, spring and fall.

Brian is a very strong and hopeful kid. He is preapared and knows how to live. It also shows that he is greatful and is always hopeing for the best! Brian also is very risky because he trusts a skunk! Also because he lives in the cold wilderness with dangerous animals such as bears and skunks, he also has no family with him so he has to be confident and brave.

  Today, my sister and I are going to my grandma’s work. She works at a church it’s really fun because they just remolded it and there is now a gym and Mackenzie and I play volley ball with a volley ball. We also play soccer, basketball, and softball. We also like to run around in the gym.

Now, we are home well at my grandma’s house and we are going to watch a movie. The movie is like really weird. Today is Wednesday so they are testing the tornado siren. It goes off once and then another time. Like five minutes later it goes off again. Now we change it to the news and there is a tornado warning for Sarpy County. My grandma tells us to go down stairs to the basement and go under the stairs where we usually go when there is a tornado. But when we tried to go under the stairs there were tables and chairs so we had to move them into the hallway. We also got blankets to go on the floor and on our laps. We were in the basement for like almost three hours or maybe longer. The news was saying that the tornado had DROPPED!!!!!!!  I hate tornados so I like freak out when I hear a siren. But I was actually pretty calm which is surprising my sister was proud of me and I was pretty proud of me too. The tornado was coming towards Sarpy County so my grandma was telling us to get in the position when a tornado comes. So of course I did and the siren kept going off and I was really scared now and my grandma was upstairs where there are tons and tons of windows in her house I was grandma get down stairs. Which she did. The tornado went back up so nothing was damaged in Sarpy which I was totally thankful for. The next morning I woke up and I look in the backyard and a huge tree feel down and that tree was really important too us because we planted in honor of my great grandma and my grandmas mom. So what we did was plant a new tree for my grandpa that died and my great grandma Wilma.

Hadley: where are Quincy and Josie?

Aunt jenny: they’re in the car

Hadley: oh ok

Mackenzie: hey Quincy hi Josie

Quincy: Hey Hadley and Mackenzie

Josie: were here were here

Hadley: yep Josie were here

Quincy: are we going to the butterflies?

Aunt Jenny: yes

Quincy: yeah kenzie I love the butterflies

Mackenzie: you know Quincy I heard that the butterflies talk and so do all the other animals

Josie and Quincy: really they talk

Mackenzie: yep they really talk

Aunt jenny; yah girls they talk one of the monkeys is my friend his name is squirt.

Hadley: oh I know squirt.

Josie: I want monkey MONKEY NOW!!!

Aunt jenny: okay Jose we will go to the rainforest and then to butterflies and after the butterflies we will see the penguins’ and then to the sharks.

Mackenzie, Josie, Quincy, and Hadley: ok

Josie: monkeys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hadley: yah Josie those are monkeys

Josie: I love monkey’s Hadley

Hadley: I know you love monkeys

Monkey:  hi there what’s your name?

Josie: wow it talked well my name is Josie

Monkey: hi Josie my name is Squirt

Josie: hi Squirt how old are you?

Monkey: I’m five

Josie: I’m four

Monkey: oh ok that’s cool

Josie: what do you do all day?

Monkey: well, I usually just swing around on my branch with my brothers and sisters.

Josie: awesome I like to swing too

Monkey: maybe you could come out here and swing with me

Aunt Jenny: sorry, Squirt she cant too dangerous

Monkey: ok Jenny

Aunt Jenny: k

Josie: by Squirt were going to see the butterflies now

Monkey: ok have fun see you later Josie

Quincy: ok mom are we going too the butterflies now

Aunt jenny: yes

Hadley: Quincy are you excited about seeing the butterflies

Quincy: yah I’m so excited

Hadley: what is your favorite butterfly?

Quincy: umm if I had too pick I would pick I would the monarch and I like the green ones.

Hadley: I like the green ones too

Quincy: look Hadley there’s are favorite one

Hadley: yep there it is wow it is so pretty

Quincy: where are we going now?

Mackenzie: were going to the sharks and the penguins    

Hadley: yeah I love the penguins they are so cute and the sharks are so like big and swim over you.

Quincy: I love that too!

Josie: penguin,  penguin,  look mommy

Aunt Jenny: I see it

Quincy: wow they are so cute

 Josie: yeah penguins

Hadley: ok now we’re going to the sharks

Josie: look at them

Hadley: there amazing!

Aunt Jenny: ok girls time to go

Hadley: ok

Mackenzie: bye

This summer my sister Mackenzie is going too Dance Out Nationals yikes! No I’m kidding she did amazing! I was so astonished by how good she did. Especially because 1) she was the only one in her division that was 13 2) she always competes in novice which is first year competitors and didn’t compete in novice this time so 3) she placed 4th in the all-around division. Hey wait, I haven’t even told you what had happened while she was getting prepared for the competition that weekend.
It all started with …..Friday night and I’m going to spend the night at my friend’s house for her birthdays were going to Worlds of Fun! Yah I’m so excited. But the story is not about me it’s about Mackenzie. She is really nervous and I know why it’s because I’m going to be there and when I’m there she always does her best and I’m always very encouraging to her and I’m always the loudest one in the room so that’s pretty cool.
Today is Saturday June 27th the day of the competition she was really excited and nervous. I woke up this morning its 7:30 and I’m planning on calling her to wish her good luck because I know she’ll do awesome! Which when I called she wasn’t awake of course she loves to sleep, who doesn’t? I mean come on I love to sleep. She woke up at like at 8:30 and my mom told her that I wanted to wish her good I think that’s what made her do amazing probably not but oh well.

About three years ago my grandpa Leon was diagnosed with skin cancer. I was in Kansas City at my house and we had gotten a call from my grandma Judy, she told us grandpa was diagnosed with skin cancer. I was so upset, scared, and, mad.
About two weeks later we came to Nebraska. My grandma had put plastic covers on the couches and the chairs and I don’t really remember why though I think they were so that no one would get sick. When we got there my grandpa was at the hospital. We were there for a week and I barely got to see my grandpa when we where there. So I wasn’t aloud too see him because it was an adult hospital and kids weren’t aloud. I was mad that I couldn’t see my own grandpa and for just a few minutes. I now hate hospitals that don’t let kids in. But later that week he got out of the hospital finally I get to see him but no I still didn’t get to see him because he was in his room the whole time, and I stayed at my other grandmas house the whole time but he came out sometimes and I got to see him but he just sat down the whole time and he barley talked but I understood why.
The next day my parents were at my grandpa Leon’s house and they called and said that they were going to take us out for breakfast to my favorite breakfast place in town called Village Inn. But they never showed up. My sister Mackenzie and I and my aunt Jaymi went to my grandma’s hair salon and talked for about an hour and read magazines. After that we went shopping I think we also went to see a movie. I have no idea what movie we saw though I wish would remember but, I can’t. While we were shopping the only thing I could think of was where are my parents and, why didn’t they call or text. I was so scared that something might had happen to my grandpa I didn’t even enjoy going shopping or too see a movie. Then we went out for lunch at a diner called The Hollywood Diner. I got the cheesy cheesy Mac& cheese with a .DrPepper and French fries. Yummy!!!
After we were done eating we went back home to my aunt Jaymi’s house we watched TV. A couple hours later my mom and dad finally show up and have us come sit on the couch, I kept saying what, what, what’s wrong? My mom starts tearing up and, I said what happened my mom says the reason why we didn’t go out to breakfast is because this morning grandpa died. I start crying so hard and couldn’t believe it I was so upset. I couldn’t stop crying at all I was crying for three hours straight. My mom and dad were cuddling me and my sister. I can’t believe it. My brother didn’t get to hear the news he was a sleep. The next day it got a little better. I was still crestfallen and we also had to go back to Gardner the next day we went to my grandma’s salon to get our hair done for our dance recital. My aunt Jenny did my hair because my grandma had a lady there getting hair done. A couple hour’s later my hair was done and both my grandma and grandpa were in our car with our suit cases and Mackenzie, Jack, dad, mom, and I were all in the car. It was a smooth ride home and the recital went great. The funeral was the same day as the dance recital. We manage to go to both.when we got back home to get ready for the dance recital I felt a lot better and I have never rejected the fact that iIneed to get over it but I still know that every day he’s watching over me. I love you grandpa!
